This has been another very disagreeable day. It rained most all day and it is very cold to night. It stopped raining a little while this afternoon, and Mr. Briggs’ hired man brought Maria home, but she did not stay but for a few minutes. They got ready to come for ______, but they could not get another girl, so they would lose another ____.
