A real pleasant day. We did not go to church to day. There was no preaching at the W. E. church. The minister is gone to conference.

Lois Chappel and her father came up this morning and staid till afternoon and went home. They had not been gone but a few minutes when Mr. and Mrs. Houchen came up and they staid until dark, so we have not been lonely.

This has been a very warm day, and I feel quite well, excepting being very hoarse with my cold. Ruth and I and Melia walked down to the village after tea this evening to mail some letters. I wrote to Add to day, and Ruth wrote to James. Ruth got some ribbons to make Gerty a sash to wear with her white dresses. It was 25¢ per yard.
