This has been a very pleasant day. We finished picking to day at noon. Ruth started for home this morning at 6 o’clock. Will took her to Holly. He got back at 2 o’clock. Grockis [?] staid and helped Rob finish and then took the girls. Melia and Clara went, and the Stephens’, and the Jakway [?] girls went up to heart [?] kind [?]. I wanted to go very bad, but they thought I had better not go, and so I did not go.
