Will has been down town all day. His face is swelling up again as bad as it was before.

Friday, February 5th

This has been a nice winter day. The sleighs are dashing around, but it has thawed a considerable [deal] to day.
I have been cutting out piece work. I have got enough cut to finish my quilt, except the white.

Will has been drawing wood to day. He took one load down town this afternoon, but did not have very good success in selling it. He drawed a log from Old John’s for a roller.

I made a needle book to day and cut of Clara’s white skirt and sewed up the seams and basted it ready to hem and cut out a pair of drawers for her.
