Another stormy day; not quite as bad as yesterday but a good deal colder than yesterday. We washed this forenoon. We had a large wash. We washed Will’s sail cloth pants, and we are going to color them when we get them dry.
Pa and Will went down this morning and took a log to mill. I had Will stop to Mrs. Chappel’s and get her quilt frames this afternoon.
We put the quilt on [?], commenced to quilt some.

This has been a cold, stormy day. This wind is blowing a gale this evening and drifting the snow in great banks. There is good sleighing now.
I baked bread this forenoon. This afternoon I have been quilting. We have got it half done.
Mr. Briggs promised to come and leave the money he owed Rob, but he has not come. I feel sorry for Rob. He has disappointed him so many times, and he needs it so much!

Another cold, stormy day. The wind blows a perfect gale. We have been quilting again to day. I made some pies this forenoon, and coloring Will’s pants. We colored them with maple bark, and then this afternoon we finished quilting our quilt and took it off the frame. It is our star quilt.

Melia iorned this forenoon. Mother finished Clara’s Chemise that I commenced Monday evening.
