This has been a very good day. I
have been out to day quite a while.
Maria is here to day! She came home
with Melia last night.
Henry came to Dr. Brown’s last
night to get Will’s medicine and a plaster for Mother.
Rob came home again this morning
but he is going back again to night to Mr. Houchen’s.
The girls brought a basket full of flower roots from
Mr. Briggs last night.***
Niece Notes: From what I understand, mustard plasters were often used like modern hot/cold pads for pain relief and some illness.
