Thursday, April 9, 1868

This has been a very cold day but not as cold as yesterday. I went out doors a little while, but it was so cold I could not stay long. I have been sewing all day. I made one sleeve to my waist and I have got my waist knit and basted up.
Billy has been to the village to day and has got some tea and sugar.

Celia Stevens was here and visited.

Niece Notes: Mr. and Mrs. Weavers emigrated to the United States from England a few years before Celia's birth. Teatime was one of the traditions they kept alive, so they always had some in stock!
