Thursday, April 23, 1868

This has been another wintry day. There was about an inch of snow fell last night, but it is almost gone to night. Melia has been making soft soaps to day. It has come real good.
I have been sewing some to day. I have made 4 blocks to day.
Melia has been over to Mrs. Harper’s to get some milk and some butter milk.

Pa is getting ready to go to Pontiac to morrow.

Niece Notes: Traveling was a regular part of farm life. Several times a year, Celia's father Robert Weavers would travel throughout the lower peninsula of Michigan to trade and sell goods.
