This has been a dull, cloudy day, and this afternoon it commenced to rain, and it is raining this evening. Billy and Melia and I went down town this afternoon to take the chickens. We got 9 cents per lb. for them. Went and got some calico to set a quilt together with. It was 15¢ per yd. and we got some batting. It was 15¢ per yard.
