Wednesday, January 13, 1869
This has been another lovely day, but it looks like a storm to night. We have been doing a little of everything to day. I made more pies, and Melia made some cookies. She finished her new dress this evening. I finished setting our quilt together this afternoon, and this evening I helped Clara piece some blocks.
Thursday, January 14, 1869
This has been a very pleasant day. We did not get any rain last night, although it looked like it. I have been helping Clara piece some blocks this afternoon. She has got enough pieced for a quilt now, and this evening we pared up about ½ a bushel of apples that were spoiling.
Will has gone down town this evening.
