A very pleasant day for my journey. I started this morning at ½ past 5 o’clock and got to Holly 15 minutes of 8, and I left Holly for Sag at 10:12. The fare was 75¢. I then got to Sag at ½ past 12, and then Henry met me at the depot and we went right up to Ruth’s. Found her washing. Took time to ___ and then went for the night. Got there at 6 o’clock.

Neice Notes: Ruth was Celia's other older sister, who lived on the outskirts of Saginaw. She and her husband had a baby called Gertie (short for Gertrude).
