Thursday, June 4, 1868

Well, a very pleasant day after the rain. Add churned this morning. Henry has been at work on the flats to day and has not come for me to day. I think I shall go tomorrow. The children went to school to day. I have been knitting again to day. We had a beautiful rain, and everything looks nice.

Neice Notes: Add and her husband Henry had two or three elementary school-aged children at this point. Judging by photos from the time period, Saginaw was a prosperous town that, like many others in the area, took education seriously.
